I have a pair of these in my hallway and they are regularly used at Christmas when we need a few extra seats in the sitting room

The brass bar which contains the cable has been positioned on the base behind & angles over their heads so that the shade can sit in the centre

One of them has had a repair or alteration of some kind to the stem - please see photo no 4
