Mellor Starter PackWondering what a mellor is for? Youre not the only one! A mellor is a sadly overlooked embroidery tool which is used for laying and guiding threads into place. In goldwork it plays a special role in helping to prevent cracks forming while you stitch cutwork or chipping (see guide). It can also be used for cross stitch and tapestry needlepoint to help guide the threads so that they lie flat together for better coverage. These mellors are gold plated
