药师佛在过去行菩萨道时，曾发十二大愿，愿为众生解除疾苦，因此最后成佛，入住“凈琉璃”世界（国土庄严如极乐国）。而他的第二大愿：“愿我来世，得菩提时，身如琉璃，内外明澈”，也是杨惠姗做琉璃近40年秉持的信念，杨惠姗希望通过琉璃，把药师佛为人间解除疾苦的善愿带给人间，常驻人间。药师琉璃光如来面相慈善，仪态庄严，安坐于莲花宝座上。药师佛，全身青蓝色，双耳垂肩，身着通肩式袈裟，双足跏趺于莲花宝座中央，背光处祥云遍照。

《仁善麒麟》塑造的是一头奋蹄前进的麒麟神兽。全身鳞角雕塑细緻至极，头尾鬃尾飞扬，与底部的祥云互相唿应，塑造出青云而上的俊美麒麟。麒麟是古人对鹿、马、牛、鱼等吉祥动物造型集合而产生的神兽，集众美于一身。相传麒麟喜欢帮助好人，对善良的人特别照顾。作为吉祥、仁慈的瑞兽，正是儒家思想的形象体现。麒麟的美好形象，让它不仅有着祥瑞的意义，更成为了赠礼之选。
