Victorian Gothic Revival Oak Throne Chair Drawers & StorageA wonderful Victorian gothic revival oak throne chair, c. 1880. The chair is well proportioned at well over a metre tall, with a heraldic crest finial above a carved fluted and leather back rest and seat with carved apron. Carved armrests depict foliate detail and terminate in lion masks. The whole is raised upon turned legs united by an 'H' stretcher. The leather upholstery is later and as such is in a very good condition. There is evidence of a

volume III more so than the others with damage to the front board evident (please see photographs)

The mirror is of small proportions but very substantial weighing 1

There is some light shelf wear to the extremities in some areas but generally all volumes display well
